Tour itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan). Day trip to Kow-Ata underground lake.
  • Meet at the airport and check-in at the hotel.
  • Day trip to Nohur village, located in Kopetdag Mountains.
  • Visit Turkmenbashi mosque-mausoleum and Kow-Ata underground lake.

Day 2.
Sightseeing tour around Ashgabat and round trip to Darwaza gas crater.
  • Visit National Museum of Turkmenistan, Parthian Fortresses of Nisa (UNESCO Heritage site), Independence Park and Neutrality Arch.
  • Enjoy barbeque dinner near the Darwaza burning gas crater.
  • Make increadible photos of the crater during the nighttime.

Day 3.
Flight to Mary, visit the ancient city of Merv and transfer to Bukhara (Uzbekistan).
  • Ancient city of Merv is one of the world’s greatest vanished cities, once the Silk Road metropolis, UNESCO Heritage Sites.
  • Transfer to Bukhara which was one of the main political, cultural, and religious hubs of the Middle East.

Day 4.
Full day sightseeing tour in Bukhara.
  • The historical center of Bukhara is included in the list of World Heritage Sites recognized by UNESCO.
  • Visit Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, Bolo Khauz Mosque, Ark Citadel, Po-i-Kalyan Complex (Kalyan Minaret and others), Ulugbek Madrasah, Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasah, Lyab-i Hauz Architectural Ensemble, Kukeldash Madrasah, Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasah.
  • Visit the shopping district with domed shopping arcade of the 16th century, where national arts and handicrafts workshops are presented.

Day 5.
Visit the out-of-town site and transfer to Samarkand by a high-speed train.
  • Explore Sitorai-Khosa Palace, the summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara.
  • Transfer to Samarkand, which is one of the most ancient cities in the world and former capital of the great Tamerlane empire.

Day 6.
Full day sightseeing tour in Samarkand.
  • Registan square – the most spectacular square in Central Asia surrounded on three sides by majestic buildings: Ulugbek Madrasah (15th century), Sher-Dor Madrasah (17th century), and Tilla-Kari Madrasah (17th century).
  • Gur-e-Amir mausoleum (15th century) – one of the grander buildings located in Samarkand, it is the dynastic tomb of Timur and his descendants, which served as a prototype for the mausoleums that were later built in Delhi and Agra (Humayun and Taj Mahal).
  • Bibi-Khanym Mosque (14th–15th centuries) – the largest cathedral mosque in Central Asia, full of royalty and beauty.
  • Shakh-i-Zinda ensemble (11th–15th centuries) – an extensive complex of eleven monumental medieval mausoleums and one of the most important places of pilgrimage for Muslims.
  • Ulugbek observatory (15th century) – one of the most significant observatories of the Middle Ages, a place where a grandiose goniometer (sextant) has been preserved underground.

Day 7.
Day trip to Tajikistan.
  • Drive to the region of Seven Lakes in Fann Mountains (Pamir), enjoy a picnic.
  • Transfer to Penjikent and sightseeing: Rudaki Museum, local Bazaar and mosque, ancient Penjikent which was a major Sogdian city.
  • Return to Samarkand.

Day 8.
Transfer to Tashkent and sightseeing.
  • Tashkent’s architecture is striking in its diversity and variety: archaeological monuments from the Zoroastrianism era that are more than 2200 years old, architectural masterpieces of the Middle Ages, monumental buildings of the late 19th century,and  the numerous modern buildings.
  • Visit Minor white Mosque, Independence Square, Amir Timur Square and beautiful Tashkent metro.

Day 9.
Transfer to Kokand by morning train and further to Osh (Kyrgyzstan).
  • Kokand was the capital of Kokand khanate, important stop point of the Great Silk Road and used to be a part of the ancient state of Davan.
  • Visit Palace of Khudayar Khan and Juma Mosque.
  • Transfer to Rishtan, the main ceramics center of Uzbekistan, lunch at the guesthouse and watch the pottery.
  • Transfer to Osh located on the east side of the Fergana valley, evening sightseeing tour.


Day 10.
Flight to Bishkek and sightseeing.
  • Visit Ala-Archa National park in the Tien Shan Mountains.
  • Visit the main sights of Bishkek: the central Ala-Too Square, flagstaff (and changing of the guard), statue of Lenin and Freedom Monument, Monument to Manas the Great.
Day 11.
Drive to the second largest alpine lake in the world – Issyk-Kul Lake.
  • Visit the ruins of the ancient city Balasagyn and Burana Tower complex (minaret of the Burana settlement, 10th-11th centuries).
  • High-altitude Lake Issyk-Kul (“warm lake”) – is the largest lake in Kyrgyzstan located at an altitude of 1620 meters and is surrounded by mountains all around.
  • The northern shore of Issyk-Kul is a famous resort zone with well-developed infrastructure.
Day 12.
Transfer to Karakol and sightseeing.
  • Visit the museum of Petroglyph’s in Cholpon-Ata and museum of the famous Russian explorer of Central Asia N.M. Prjevalsky.
  • City tour in Karakol: Dungan mosque (19 century), a unique construction built in Chinese style with no nails used; wooden Russian Orthodox Cathedral of The Holy Trinity built at the end of the 19th century; local bazaar.
  • Transfer to the Jeti-Oguz Gorge on the northern slopes of the Terskey Ala-Too Ridge, viewing red rocks «Broken Heart» and «Rocks of Seven Bulls».
  • Return to Karakol.
Day 13.
Transfer to Almaty (Kazakhstan) and sightseeing.
  • En route visit spectacular Charyn Canyon, Grand Canyon’s little brother, located in the Charyn National Park.
  • Explore the Valley of Castles with the pillars and rock formations.
  • Arrival in Almaty by the evening.
Day 14.
Sightseeing tour in Almaty and surroundings.
  • Visit the Green Bazaar, Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, the Kok-Tobe hill with the tallest TV tower in the world.
  • Short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway.
  • Transfer to Medeo – an essential part of the Ili Alatau park located at the height of 1,690 meters, the Medeo skating rink is the highest rink location in the world.
  • Visit Shymbulak mountain resort, which is located at the elevation of 2,260 meters above sea level,t ake a cable car to 3200 meters altitude to enjoy breathtaking landscapes.
Day 15.
Departure from Almaty
  • Transfer to the International airport of Almaty.
  • End of the program.
